Our Capabilities

We use systems thinking and citizen perspectives to inform equitable and people-centred health system reforms. We are equipped to undertake:

We use diverse research approaches to drive health system transformation combining mixed-methods tailored to context, deep qualitative inquiry, and evidence synthesis to support equitable innovations. We assess feasibility through implementation research, identify service gaps via evaluations, and conduct policy diagnostics to address systemic barriers and align with equity, UHC, and SDG Goals.

We apply core principles of human-centered design to co- create health solutions grounded in real-world experiences. Through deep engagement with communities and primary care providers and program managers, using design research, journey mapping, prototyping, and iterative testing, we uncover unmet needs and develop context-sensitive, user-driven innovations.

We develop and support inclusive, evidence-based community engagement strategies that align with public health goals and reflect local sociocultural realities. Through participatory approaches, we co-create solutions with communities, frontline workers, and local leaders. We build capacity across stakeholders to strengthen dialogue, embed feedback loops, and promote inclusive engagement platforms.

We design and deliver competency-based training programs for health professionals, program managers, and frontline workers to strengthen primary health care (PHC). We support the leadership development initiatives with the aim to build the skills of healthcare managers and administrators to transform health systems. We also support institutions in embedding gender analysis and social inclusion into governance, human resource practices, accountability, and monitoring systems.

We conduct comprehensive health financing and costing studies to support evidence-based planning and resource allocation. This includes estimating the cost of services at primary and secondary levels using both micro- and macro- costing approaches, analyzing program and intervention costs, and leveraging pilot data to inform budgeting for scale-up. We also support the development of the annual financial plans and carry out health financing and equity- focused studies to ensure efficient and inclusive use of financial resources.

We assess institutional capacity using standardized and customized tools, identify areas for improvement, and support strategic restructuring. Our technical support includes convening expert groups, building teams, and providing mentoring and training to drive and sustain institutional reforms. Our approach is designed to reduce long-term dependencies on technical partners and build local capacities for program development.
